In much of the debate about climate variation and its causes, we hear reference to the "scientific method". In this posting at Townhall by Paul Driessen, he explains how science has helped to make our Western countries healthy and prosperous. He writes: "The scientific method begins with an hypothesis about how some component of the natural world works and a calculation or forecast of what would happen if the the concept is correct. Scientists then subject the hypothesis and prediction to experiment. If confirmed by data and observations, we have a new theory or law of nature; if not, the hypothesis is wrong." We should ask ourselves how this process has been applied to so-called "global warming".
